Saturday I’d been thinking about global warming and working on Livin in the 00ze (new draft of the audio here - have a listen while you read on - where I was last week on the song is talked about and recordedhere). I’d gone back to the original nightmare lyrically, partially, coming up with a way to bring easter island in, and trying to tell more of the story in the song in the song rather than in me writing about it around the song. Still, I’m hard at work here, writing around the song… I’

Today I was digging for some info on ‘radio advertisements’ and came across the following paragraph:
Most of us like to see what we are dealing with cable TV advertising provides visual effects that help us remember what you are communicating. … Even when I leave the ads playing on the radio and catch a word here and there I rarely remember the fine details like, well, the name of the business….To be honest, I cant tell you what advertisements were on the radio stations today….
Frankly, not what I was looking for, but you might find it an interesting read.
Media Fragmentation and The Passion Tail at DFWIMA
The Dallas-Fort Worth Interactive Marketing Association (DFWIMA) invited us down last Tuesday, March 11th, to speak with their members about the who, what, where, why and how of advertising exchanges. For an hour, we spoke about media fragmentation, marketplace response from portals, sites, networks and exchanges and about something we call The Passion Tail. In presenting The Passion Tail, I argue that sites are no longer as relevant as individual pages of content. If you look at the pro

101 Farting Dalmatians? March 12, 2008 6:37 pm An animator/director friend, who asked to remain anonymous, emailed me with a bizarre observation: that Disney is adding fart gags to some of its TV ads for the dvd rerelease of 101 Dalmatians. Can anybody else confirm this or post the TV spots onto YouTube? I find it a little difficult to believe, and yet, its ill-conceived enough that I can just imagine some exec approving this idea. Boredom and Decline
For the past ten thousand years or so the human race has had a distinguished record of achievement. We have solved problem after vexing problem. fed the hungry, provided medical advances to cure diseases that once threatened our very survival, learned how to overcome distance to the point where we are sending probes to the edge of the solar system and beyond. As problems arose we used our human abilities to overcome them. If those abilities were to disappear surely the human race would be radi
